The Marker – Set Prominently Above The Threshold – Was To Designate The Building As A Location That Paid For Additional City Services Like Fire Fighters, Running Water, And Trash Removal. The Coin Insignia — Still Beautiful 200 Years Later Is The Inspiration That Led To Our Hand Drawn Type Coin Design.
